With reference to despatch Number 106
from this Legation of January 30th, enclosing
copies of correspondence with His Excellency the
Governor of Hong Kong, concerning the claim of
the Hong Kong Government for compensation in res-
peat of the suspension of through traffic on
Janton-Kowloon Railway, I have the honour to
transmit herewith a copy of a further despatch
from the officer Administering the Government of
the Colony, in which he states that Sir Cecil
Clementi's letter Humber 4 of January 2nd has been
forwarded to His Majesty's Consul-General at Canton
for such action as he may feel able to take.
