Examinations.
Associated Training School means for the purpose of these Rules a course of training arranged in accordance with the directions so given in the Schools forming the Association.
(iv) The Board shall prepare and keep a list of institutions which are for the time being approved by the Board under the following headings:-
Complete Training Schools for Registered Nurses.
Complete Training Schools for Registered Male Nurses. Complete Training Schools for Registered Mental Nurses.
Complete Training Schools for Registered Nurses for Mental Defec-
tives.
Complete Training Schools for Registered Sick Children's Nurses. Complete Training Schools for Registered Fever Nurses.
(v) The Board shall similarly prepare and keep lists of the institutions for the time being approved by the Board as Affiliated Training Schools and as Associated Training Schools respectively, and such lists shall be kept so far as necessary under headings corresponding to those relating to Complete Training Schools.
12. The Board shall hold Preliminary and Final Examinations in the several subjects mentioned in the Syllabuses of Subjects for Examinations contained in the Schedule to this part of the Rules at such times at such places and subject to such provisions as the Board may from time to time determine.
13. The entrance fee for the Preliminary Examination shall be 20 dollars, and for the Final Examination 25 dollars. The fee shall be paid before the applicant's name is entered for the examination.
14.-() No person shall be entitled to enter for the Preliminary Exam- ination until she has deposited with the Registrar a certificate signed by the Matron, Medical Superintendent or other responsible officer of the Institution or Institutions in which her training or instruction was given and carried out, that she has completed one year of training and that she has attended a course of lectures in the subjects prescribed for the Preliminary Examina- tion in the Syllabus of Subjects for Examination, and has undergone practical instruction in the wards in the subjects therein prescribed for the Examina- tion.
(ii) No person shall be entitled to enter for any Final Examination until she has attained the age of 21 years and has passed the Preliminary Exam- ination and has deposited with the Registrar the following Certificates signed by the Matron, Superintendent Nurse, or other person occupying a similar position in the Institution or Institutions in which her training or instruction was given and carried out :-
(a) A Certificate that she has undergone the training specified in Clause 6 of this part of the Rules as being necessary to qualify her for admission to the part of the Register to which the Examination relates.
(b) A certificate that she has undergone systematic instruction in each of the subjects prescribed in the Syllabus or subjects for Examination contained in the Schedule to this part of the Rules as being necessary for admission to the part of the Register to which she applies to be admitted.
(c) A certificate of good conduct.
(iii) Provided that a person may enter for the Final Examination for Fever Nurses after she has attained the age of 20 years, and that no Nurse who is already registered on any part of the Register shall be required to pass the Preliminary Examination.
