sir,
19th Sept
I have the honour to transmit, for the
information of his Majesty's Government in the Irish Free State, the accompanying copy of a despatch from the Governor of ong Kong forwarding
copies of a bill which it is proposed to introduce
in the Legislative Council of the Colony, entitled "An Ordinance to provide for the registration of
nurses for the sick", together with copies of the
regulations which it is proposed to make under
the powers given in the Bill.
2. The Governor requests that, if no
objection is seen, the bill and regulations may be
brought to the notice of the General Nursing
Council 33 St.Stephens Green, Dublin, in order
that their views on the terms of the proposed
measures may be obtained before they are
introduced into the Legislative Council.
3. It would also be appreciated if it could be ascertained whether, the General Nursing Council in Dublin would be prepared to grant reciprocal treatment to all persons on the register of nurses of Hong Kong.
