of the financing of certain loan works, together with copies
of the actual motions. At the request of the Unofficial
Members the motions were adjourned until the next meeting of
Legislative Council. I shall address Your Lordship in a separate despatch on this subject when the motions have been
adopted.

I also enclose copies of the report of the
Salaries Commission which was laid on the table at yesterday's
meeting of the Council. The report is now under consideration
and I shall address Your Lordship on this matter in a
separate despatch as early as possible.
