last (62906/29) transmitting a copy of a despatch
from the Governor of Hong Kong relative to the
levying of poundage on monies paid into Court.
In reply 1 am to give the following
information so far as the question affects the High
Court and the County Courts in England.
1.
The High Court.
All moneys paid into Court are dealt with
in the Accountant General's department of the
Supreme Court. There is no system of poundage in
force in the High Court, the nearest approach to any
such system being the Lunacy Percentage Fee which is
a percentage charged, to cover administration
expenses, on the income of each Lunacy Fund in Court.
