Haze: If that was inserted, I think the Chinese Government would probably take exception, I think that they probably would have no objection to a Hong Kong steamer carrying British goods going to Vuchow or some other inland place, but they would probably object to your loading Chinese cargo in Canton and carrying that to Wuchow. If it were British goods going to Canton, that would be ordinary trade from a foreign port to a Chinese
port.
