I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt

of your despatch No.390 dated the 27th November, 1928, on

the subject of survey work and mapping in Hong Kong and to

forward herewith a copy of the report by the Superintendent

of Surveys together with:-

(1) A Diagram showing triangulation.

(2) A Schedule of observed angles.

Notes as regards logarithmic distances and azimuth.

Details of notes as regards longitude.

I should be glad if the attention of War

Office might be drawn to paragraph 2 of the Superintendent

1 of Surveys' report as regards the extent of the

20,000 now produced, and I should also be glad to receive copies

of the new sheets as soon after publication as may be

possible.
