From Secretariat for Chinese Affairs to Anti-Mui Tsai Society
Sir:
17th August, 1929.
With reference to your letter dated 27th July, 1929,
regarding the daughter of Ching Ngai Shi sold on July 1st
1929 as Mui Tsai to Wong Lo Shi of 367 Queen's Road West, I
have the honour to inform you that Wong Lo Shi was yesterday
fined 10 by the 2nd Police Magistrate for taking her into
her employment a Mui Tsai contrary to Sec. 4 of Ord. No 1 of
1923.
She was cautioned in respect of a second charge regar-
ding another mui tsai (aged 12 ) found in her house.
Ching Ngai Shi's daughter has been returned to her on her
applying at this office. The other girl has been sent to the
Po Leung Kuk.
