I am forwarding for your information correspondence
which has just been received from Hong Kong with reference to
this case of a Mui Tsai sold in the Colony on July 1st, 1929,
in the hope that it may be of use to you in your consideration
of the whole matter.
Some photographs of the child in question were sent
to me with the letter, but these I am not sending, as they would
not assist you materially. Also, we are anxious to have them
reproduced in the Press and elsewhere, asa means of bringing
home to the public more vividly the state of affairs in this
British Colony.
Similarly, we hope to obtain and publish photographs
of the brothel-slaves, which should not be difficult,as these
houses open directly on to the roads. I mention this, as we
have been reproached for not bringing forward the case of these
girls.
:
Auld (58)
yours faithfully
CBL. Hoslewood.
