Wagon No.71 belonging to the
British Section, which was
derailed owing to military
operations at Sien Tsun on the Chinese Section on 27th
October, 1923, and the compensation due to the British Section by the Chinese Section in respect of the Wagon which has been retained by that Section as only fit for
the carriage of stones.

The value of the.Wagon shown in the books
of the Railway is $6684.60 representing the original cost
of $7713 minus $1028.40 depreciation (vide enclosure to
Manager's letter of 23rd October, 1928), but in view of
