I certify that adequate and timely notification was made of the intentions of the parties concerned to apply to the Legislative Council of Hong Kong for an Ordinance styled "An Ordinance to amend the constitution of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation" before the same was brought into Legislative Council. Such notifications were

made in the following manner.

Notice of the intention of the parties to apply

for the said Ordinance was advertised in an issue of the

Hong Kong Government Gazette of the 15th of March, in six issues each of two English newspapers circulating in the Colony, namely the Hong Kong Daily Press and the South China Morning Post, for the period of the 13th to the 19th of March

1929; and in three issues of two Chinese newspapers

circulating in the Colony, namely Kung Sheung Yat Po and Wah Tsz Yat Po, for the period of the 14th to 16th of March,

1929.

A draft of the proposed said Ordinance was further published in two issues of the Government Gazette on the

15th and 22nd of March, 1929.
