With reference to my despatch No.89 of the
21st February, 1929, and Mr. Amery's telegrans of the 29th
April and 26th June, 1929, I have the honour to submit for

granted by the Mercantile Bank Note Issue Ordinance,
1911, to the Mercantile Bank of India, Limited, to
make, issue, re-issue and circulate notes in the
Colony,

I also forward a certificate as
required by Article XXVII of the Royal Instructions of the
14th February, 1917.

A certificate of undertaking as stipulated in
Mr. Amery's telegram of the 29th April has been forwarded to
this Government by the Bank.
