With reference to our letter of the 20th February,
1929, transmitting a valuation of the security held by us
as cover for the note issue of the Mercantile Bank of India,Ltd
in Hong Kong, I have the honour to report for the information
of the Secretary of State that we have released to the Bank £180,000 52% Treasury Bonds 1930 and have received in
exchange £180,000 5% Treasury Bonds 1933-35.
