I am commanded by the Army Council to enclose for your information a copy of a letter and enclosures received from the Colonial office in which the concurrence of the Council is sought in the proposed deduction from the Colonial revenue of Hong Kong assessable to Military Contribution, of an amount of $54,324.33 refunded from revenue to the British American Tobacco Company (China) Limited, and to state that, subject to Treasury approval, the Council, in accordance with the procedure accepted in Treasury letter No. 7085/1910 of 19th April 1910 to the Colonial Office, concur in the proposal.
A copy of this letter has been sent to the Colonial office.
