With reference to the last paragraph of War Office letter No.16/Estimates/101 of the 17th June, 1925, and to the Colonial Office reply No.27568/25, of the 4th July, 1925, on the subject of the Military Contribution payable by the Colony of Hong Kong, I am commanded by the Army Council to inform you that no statement showing the gross revenue of the Colony as finally assessed, with details of items deducted therefrom as exempt from assessment from Military Contribution, has been received in respect of the Colonial year 1928, and to request that the requisite statement may be furnished at an early date.
