I am directed by Mr. Secretary Henderson to state

that, as he understands, & report has recently been received by the Secretary of State for the Colonies from the Governor of Hong Kong on the subject of the suppression

of the mui tsai system in that Colony.

As the Delegation of His Majesty's Government in Great Britain to the Tenth Assembly of the League of Nations may find it desirable to rebut misstatements as to present conditions in this respect, Mr. Henderson would be grateful if he could be furnished with all relevant recent information with regard to this question for transmission to the Delegation at Geneva should Lord

Passfield see no objection.
