Dear Sir,
The attention of Mr. Arthur Mee, Editor of The Children's Newspaper, has been drawn to a reprint of a letter from Mr. John H. Harris, of the Anti-Slavery Society, in the Manchester Guardian of Jan 16 last on "Slavery in Hong Kong" and of an editorial comment upon it.
Mr. Mee has asked me to write an article on the subject by next Tuesday, and I shall therefore be glad to know whether any reply to Mr. Harris's statements has been issued by the Coponial Office, especially in Parlia- ment, and the Times reference
Yours faithfully,
thereto.
