The Council have informed the Colonial Office that though they are anxious that the scheme should be proceeded with no funds are available to meet a charge against this Department during the murrent financial year, but subject to Their Lordships' approval they would propose to include în Air Estimates for 1930 provision for half the cost of the hangar. The Colonial Office, however, point out that it is necessary before any commitments are entered into that it should be definitely known that Their Lordships will raise no objection to such provision being made and the Council will accordingly be glad if amroval in principle to the arrangements proposed can be given at an early date.

The amount involved cannot at present be accurately estimated, as certain points in connection with the design of the shed have still to be investigated, but it is probable that the proportion of the cost to be defrayed from Air Votes will be $15,000 or £16,000.
