correspondence with the Air Ministry
ending with your letter 879160/28/DDCA
of the 1st of May, the Governor was
informed in a despatch of the 11th

of May that the S.of S. was prepared

to approve in principle, assistance in
some form to Mr. Vaughan-Fowler, and
detailed proposals were requested.
A copy of this despatch was sent to the
Air Ministry on the 16th of May
