With reference to my despatch No.472 of the 12th of Cctober, regarding the accident to Sir Henry Edward Pollock, K.C., and the consequent vacancies caused in the post of Attorney-General, and in the seats previously held by him as Unofficial Member of the Executive and Legislative
Councils, I am pleased to report that Sir Henry has now
recovered sufficiently to enable him to resume his duties.
I have accordingly by an Instrument under the
Public Seal of the Colony dated 14th December, of which a
copy is annexed, declared Sir Henry Pollock capable of again discharging his functions as a Member of the Executive and
Legislative Councils of the Colony.

As Sir Joseph Kemp, K.C., C.B.E., having
returned to the Colony on 6th December, has already replaced Mr. C. G. Alabaster, K.C., C.B.E., who was acting as Attorney,
General, Sir Henry Pollock now reverts to the Unofficial seats on the Executive and Legislative Councils which have been occupied in the interim by the Honourable Mr. J. Owen Hughes and Honourable Mr. C. G. E. Mackie respectively.
