Sir,
I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt
of your despatch, Confidential, dated the 28th of March,
1929, with reference to the appointment of Commander
G.F. Hole, R.N. (Retired) Harbour Master, to be an
Official Member, and of Mr. J.P. Braga and Mr. S.W. Tso,
O.B.E., LL.D., to be Unofficial Members of the Legislative
Council of Hong Kong.
2. Instruments of definitive appointment and
Gazette notifications, copies of which are attached, have
been issued in respect of the appointments of these three
gentlemen.

With reference to the appointment of Dr. Moore
to be an Official Member of the Legislative Council, I
have to report that his place as Director of Medical
and Sanitary Services has been taken by Dr. A.R.
