Your telegram of 29th May.
Sir M.Lampson has reported that agreement has
been reached with Dr.Wang that, besides grant of
£250,000 to University there should, at Chinese
Government's request, be set aside a further sum
of £15,000 to cover indebtedness of Chinese
Government to University. The matter of railway
debts to the Colonial Government is still receiving
consideration here.
