I regret that it is not possible for reasons stated in
Mr. Amery's telegram of the 28th of May to reconsider at
this stage the general policy which His Majesty's
Government have decided upon. I shall, however, be glad to see Hornell when he arrives and discuss the general
affairs of the University with him.
