(1) Letter to be written to the Executive Committee, (all

the following are addressed to the said Executive Committee

also) urging them to publish a warning to all cunning

merchants.

(2) Urging them to send in a report on their work in July.

(3) Urging them to send in an estimate and a statement of

accounts for July.

(4) Urging them to establishment National Goods Show Rooms

and a National Goods Exhibition.

(5) Urging them to decide definitely as to certain goods

seized.

(6) Asking them for a list of names and badges of the

Inspectorate and the Searching Pickets.

(7) Urging them to take strong measures to detect smuggling

of enemy goods on board Hong Kong-Yung Kei passage junks.

(8) Urging them to send in their accounts for July and

August to be audited.

(9) Asking them for an explanation of the establishment of

a Financial Committee and whether the appointment of the

Financial Committee would interfere with the work of the

Society.

(10) Urging them to reconsider the requirement that all

goods seized should be submitted to the Routine Work

Committee within 48 hours.

(11) Requesting them to pay the temporary subsidy monthly.

(12) Putting up Secret Information Boxes.

(13) Appointing Inspecting Pickets.

30 resolutions were made at various Committee Meetings.

Apart from those which have been submitted to an Ordinary

General Meeting for confirmation, the rest have been carried

out.

More than 50 communications were received and 70 sent

out. For the purpose of preventing mal-practices on the

part of the officers, besides putting up Secret Information

Boxes
