rights of operation at Amoy, Swatow, Foochow or Shanghai,
and they would seem to be very keen to avoid any rights of
operation over inland routes, and unofficially they
expressed the view that no objection would be raised by the
Chinese Government (Nationalist) to the coastal route to
Shanghai.

Before leaving last evening the view was expressed
by Mr. Cheng I Kam that the registration under the Chinese Government would not be possible, and I gained the
