Copy of a letter No. S.55/109-A, dated the 11th January, 1928, from the Chief Secretary to the Government of Bombay, Political Department, to the Secretary to the Government of India, Home Department.
Subject: Application from Mr. Georg Ludvig Rode for a
certificate of naturalization.
I am directed by the Governor in Council to forward
for favourable consideration a memorial dated the 15th December
1927 from Mr. Georg Ludvig Rode for a certificate of
of Aliens naturalization under the British Nationality and Status Act, Status/Act,
1914, together with affidavits by himself and by two respectable
British subjects. A copy of a report by the Commissioner of
Police, Bombay, is also enclosed.

The condition in regard to residence may be said to
have been fulfilled in the memorialist's case since residence
on a British steamer is the same as residence in His Majesty's
dominions. The memorialist satisfies the other conditions set
forth in section 2 (1) of the Act.
3. Mr. Rode has paid in advance a fee of Rs.15/- which
has been credited to Government.
4. The particulars required for inclusion in the
certificate are entered in a separate statement.
