TO F.0. 12 thank 20
(dft herewith)
Sir,
I am, etc., to refer to the
letter from the Foreign Office to this
Department of the 22nd of March, a copy
of which has been sent to the Board
of Trade, regarding representations
made by the United States Embassy
concerning certain instances of alleged
discrimination against United States'
interests in Hong Kong, and to enclose
a copy of a letter which has been sent
to the Foreign Office in reply.
2.
I am to enquire whether the
Board of Trade is aware of any United
/
States measures against British interests
to which the F.0, could usefully be asked
to refer in any reasoned reply that they
may eventually send to the United States
representations
Cycloppany.
The S. of S. would also be
3 drafts.
