I have known Miss Mabel Riley for more than ten years an an, without hesitation, most strongly recommend her for the post in Hong Kong.
She is a hardworking, conscientious candidate of high principles, decided personality and consider- ably more than average ability.
She holds an Honours Degree in Classics (C1.11), London University, and has also had an excellent commercial and clerical training.
She is adaptable, calm in emergencies, thoroughly capable and reliable, and in whatever position she was, I feel sure she would be a helpful, loyal and successful colleague.
At this School which numbers nearly 500 girls she was Head Girl the highest honour available and, in this capacity, and as Prefect, she proved herself to be most efficient.
She was for a very short time acting as "locum" here in the absence of the Head of the Classical Department and performed her duties in a highly satis- factory way.
She is cultured and refined and has always had the great advantage of excellent home surroundings.
