Dear Miss Benington,

With reference to your letter of October 14th, the

Hong Kong Government makes it a condition of appointment

that Bistresses may, at the discretion of the Director of

Education, be posted to any Government school in the Colony.

It has been found necessary to insist on tais. The ducation

Department makes every possicle endeavour to meet the wishes

of each Bistress, but must retain freedom to act as it

considers beat.

I should be glad if you would let me know as soon as

possible whether you are prepared to accept appointment on

these conditions.

Yours sincerely,

Liss K.. Benington,

DEL ESTER.
