Gentlemen,
I am directed by the Clerk of the Council to acknowledge the receipt of your letter, 7/LW, of the 2nd instant, and to state in reply to the second question asked by you that no Order in Council has been made extending Sections 34-36 of the Companies
(Consolidation) Act, 1908, to Shanghai.
If a reply is desired to the remaining questions contained in your letter I am to suggest that enquiry in the first instance be made of the Companies Department of the Board of Trade as the subject matter of the questions does not fall within the scope of the Privy Council Office.
