Foreign Jurisdiction Acts 1890 and 1915, Sections 34 to 36

of the Companies (Consolidation) Act 1908 can be extended.

(2)

If so, whether any Order in Council has been made

extending those Sections to Shanghai and, if so, the date of

such Order.

(3) If the answers to (1) and (2) are in the negative,

is it correct to assume that under sub-section 5 of Section 10

of the Companies Act 1928 (when in force) an Order in Council

can be made extending the sections of the Companies acts re-

ferred to to Shanghai for the reason that those sections can-

not be so extended under the Foreign Jurisdiction Acts 1890

and 1913?

(4) Whether at this stage it can be said if it is proposed,

under Section 10 (5) of the 1928 Act, to extend the Sections

referred to to Shanghai.

We are etc.,
