On the 4th January, 1928, the Min Tak Co. paid into

its account with the Instone Banking Corporation Limited

the reasury cheque for $78,300.41, which was presented at the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation and duly

honoured.

On the 5th January the Min Tak Co. drew out of its account $65,980.00 and on the 6th January, $12,000.00 - leaving in the account a balance of $384.69.

On or about 14th September, 1927, a man, who gave his

name as D'Almada, went to the Nederlandsche Handel Maat- schappij (Netherlands "rading Society), and stated that

he wished to open a current account for the firm of Katz

& Co.

He gave his address as China Building, 6th Floor, and

said that he was a Contractor.

He produced a letter of authorization giving the

names of three partners, including himself, and authorizing

"our Managing artner Mr. J. K. D'Almada" to sign all

documents on behalf of the Company.

This man opened the account by paying in a cheque for

$3,050.00 - this was the cheque for that amount drawn by

the Min Tak Co.

Katz & Co. made only three other payments into their

account in 1927, viz,

October 21st. $530.00.

November 14th. 150.00.
