The findings of the Salaries Commission

for which you have already given your approval

may possibly have some bearing on these

recommendations and the appointments as recommended

must therefore be regarded as provisional.

These recommendations are now under

consideration and I shall address you further

after consulting the Finance Committee as to its

readiness to provide the additional funds which

will be necessary.
