I am directed by Lord Cushendun to
acknowledge the receipt of Colonial Office letter
No. 52798/28 of July 27th regarding the granting of
permission to Japanese subjects to use Hongkong as
a base for deep sea fishing operations and to state,
for the information of the Secretary of State for the
Colonies, that Lord Cushendun concurs in the action
proposed in that letter.
