This Indenture made the
day of
1925 BETWEEN THE CROWN AGENTS FOR THE COLONIES of No. 4 Millbank in the City of Westminster (hereinafter and in the Specification hereto annexed referred to as the Crown Agents ") acting for and on behalf of the Government of the Colony of Hong Kong of the one part and

'the Contractors")
Whereas the Contractors have considered the site of the Works hereinafter mentioned and the Instructions to Persons Tendering and have made all enquiries, obtained all information and satisfied themselves as to all matters and things in the said Instructions to Persons Tendering referred to, and have made their own estimate in respect thereof, and have examined and considered all other matters, conditions and things referred to or implied herein or in the Specification hereto annexed (hereinafter referred to as the Specification") and in the Drawings hereinafter referred to, and all possible and probable contingencies, and generally all matters which might influence them in making their Tender
And whereas the Contractors have submitted a Tender for the said Works to the Crown Agents, which Tender has been accepted
And whereas it has been agreed between the said parties hereto that these presents shall be entered into by way of Contract, and that the Contractors shall secure the due performance of this Contract by the joint and several Bond of themselves and
in the sum of £5,000, and it is intended
that such Bond shall bear even date with this Contract.
Mow this Indenture witnesseth as follows:-
I. For the consideration hereinafter mentioned, the Contractors will construct the water supply connecting pipe lines from Kowloon across Hong Kong Harbour to the City of Victoria, in the Colony of Hong Kong, with the valve chambers, shore connections and all other appurtenant works hereinafter specified, and all other Works shown, described, referred to or implied herein or in the Specification and /or Drawings hereinafter referred to, subject to and in accordance with the provisions hereof and of the said Specification and/or the said Drawings and all further and other Drawings and Instructions issued or given in accordance with the provisions hereof, and will also construct all modified, substituted and/or additional Works by way of variation of and/or in substitution for 'and /or in addition to the said
