The area edged in purple is occupied by the

temporary sheds and quarters of the Royal Air

Force Squadron now stationed in Hong Kong and

the area edged in brown is the landing ground

used by the aeroplanes while the temporary pier

and crane is also used by this squadron.

G & H. Show Slipways for flying boats with a grade

of 1 in 12 with a depth of water of 7 feet at

low tide. Guide piers are shown on either side.

Should it be considered essential to protect

the slipways a mole with the necessary entrances

can be constructed in a suitable position.

K. Shows a Pier which may be used by the General

Public and the personnel of the Air Port while

a crane can be provided for landing seaplanes,

stores, etc.

Buildings.-

1. Administrative Block containing Offices for

Controlling Staff and Aviation Companies,

Customs Examination Rooms, Freight Stor es,

Booking Hall and Waiting Rooms for Passengers

and Post Office.

A Control tower (say 50 feet high) in the

centre of the west front with Meteological

Office, Wireless and telephone exchange, Chart

and Observation Rooms.

It is reasonable to assume that part only

of this accommodation will be required as a

preliminary, but that sufficient area should

be reserved for future expansion.
