4. It must be remembered also

that the original suggestion for the

construction of the Aerodrome came

from the Air Ministry, and according

to the lay-out now recommended,

the greater part of the Aerodrome

will be for the use of the Air

Ministry,

the area reserved

for the Air Force being 28 acres

at the better end with room beyond

for further building extension,

while the area reserved for commercial

aviation is only 12 acres. It is

also proposed that the Royal Air

Force should take over a slip-way, the

construction of which has already

been undertaken for purposes of

commercial aviation.
