Sir,
With reference to previous
correspondence on the subject of Opium in
Macau terminating with your confidential
despatch of the 2nd of August, 1928, I have
the honour to forward the accompanying copy of
a report on the Macau Opium Farm, 1924 - 1927,
formulated by Mr. J. D. Lloyd, Superintendent
of Imports and Exports, as a result of his
examination of some of the books of account
kept in Chinese for these years.

Those books were produced with
others to the Estates Duty Commissioner, in
support of a declaration regarding the goods of
LEE HYSON the former chief manager and owner
of the Farm, who was murdered in Hong Kong this
