(c) Cheque for $500.00 dated 14.5.26. $300.00 was part of a loan to the Company. I only made one loan to

the Company.

(d) Cheque $184.85 dated 6.7.26 A/S. 897. This was paid to plaintiffs direct. (Distraint 404).

(e) I can't remember receiving this cheque for $3000. dated 13.7.26.

(f) Cheque for $1,000. dated 9.8.26. I had

advanced $1,000.

Some of the cheques were given for cash some were loans returned to me. I cashed the cheques out of daily

takings and sent the cheques to the Treasury. The Auctioneering Co. always came to my office to cash cheques. I thought some of the cheques were returns

of loans but I can't remember.

Why did you use Government moneys to cash the

company's cheques?

I didn't like to take so much cash to the Treasury

so I cashed their cheques.

How many loans did you make to the Commany?

Only one of $3,000.00, on 20.1.26. I was to get

11% per month interest.

Did you lend money to other people?

No. This money belonged to a friend.

Were you in the habit of cashing any other peoples cheques out of Government moneys?

Only for officers in this building. I cashed cheques for other business men besides the Auctioneering

Co. - men of substance.

Is Wong Fung Sek now in the Colony?

Yes.

Sometimes I see him in the Chinese Club. He

is no longer at the business.
