My position First Cliffs. At 1115 met S.S. "SAN NAM HOI",

Chinese flag, reported pirated internally 0930 four miles up

river from Pak Kai. Casualties killed Mr. H. Conway, Chief

Officer, British. Indian Guards 2, name Secunda Kahn No. 795,

Mudra Kahn. Severely wounded 2 Indian Guards.

Estimated number

of pirates 15. Running fight took place for half an hour.

Pirates jumped over-board after failure to take control of ship.

First aid given. Ordered "San Nam Hoi" to return Kongmun for

medical attention. Report follows.
