Important. Officers and crew of TEAN'S boats recovered. Officers are British. Boats are wrecked on lee shore. 5 passengers have been recovered. Am landing armed party to assist Customs Cruiser in search for passenger believed to be injured and abandoned by pirates. Customs Cruiser's landing party opened fire on supposed pirates with no result. Pirates have apparently scattered over the hills. I do not consider any offensive operation is feasible.
