The questions in
your telegram under reference
are answered by the
Commodore's letter of the
5th of loveiber, 1928. My
only further information as to the action taken by the Canton
Authorities to round up the pirates is contained in the
accompanying report of a Dias Bay informer. This action
was taken without informing this Goverment or making any
request for co-operation. On the 11th Cctober, in accordance
with the request of the Haval Authorities a Ühinese
interpreter and a Chinese detective of the Police Department
