I have oxamined the accompanying Ordinance intituled an Ordinance| to amend the Naturalization Ordinance, 1902, and to provide for the revocation of naturalization rights in certain cases, and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to the Governor's instructions.

This Ordinance was introduced in order. to carry out the instructions in the Secretary's States circular despatch of the 15th September, 1927.

Section 2 of the Ordinance is based on section of the British Nationality and Status of Aliens Act, 1918, 8 & 9 Geo. 5, c.38.

Sub-section (9) gives similar powers of revocation with regard to the persons whose names appear in the Schedule to the Naturalized Persons Ordinance, 1901, Ordinance No. 9 of 1901. The Schedule in question contains a list of persons who were naturalized locally by special Ordinances.
