No. 113/28.
From Commissioner for Foreign Affairs,
Canton.
24th April, 1928.
Sir,
80
I have the honour to inform you that this
Government does not see its way to change the title
of Superintendent of the Chinese Telegraph Office
at Hong Kong. The Canton Branch Political Council on the 9th April appointed Mr. Kong Siu-lui to this
post and requested youto notify the Hongkong Govern-
ment of his appointment. Mr. Kong having received
his credentials proposes to assume his appointment
in the course of the next few days but no reply has
so far been received from you. I have therefore
to request that I may be favoured with a reply as
soon as possible.
(Sd-) Chu Chao-hsin.
