32. Coupled Axleboxes and Houblocks. The axleboxes are
to be of cast steel fitted with removeable bearings
of guctal, with anti-fiiction ctal pockett, Drg.
No.2. 4472/os, Herm. No.20 1/1 is to be worked to as
fax as possible, but for the bearings, which are to
bo increased in size, Stone's Hard Blonzo is not
requilcd. ne boxco ale to be fitted with Gumctal
limers on the sides which come into contact with the
whool hubs. The vicol hubs arc to be made as large
as possible so as to take up the clue thrust with
uniuc fiction. Olling facilities ale to be provided
similar to those shown on the axlebox Dig. No.24472/00,
Reyn. No. 251/1.
Cast steel hornblocks, with wedges of class "J"
stecl fishod bright are to be fitted. The design
and dimensions of those as shown on Drg. No.24472/87,
Requ. No.251/1 to be adhored to as far as possiblo.
The nuts of the hommblock bolte are to be immed.
33. Springs & Spring Gear. Laminated bearing splings tre
to be used on all whocis: "as made" dlavings of those
Springs are to show a corect copy of thicker's tost
card, with the c and addicss of makers. The springs
of the coupled wheels are to be compensated. Spring
link brackets are to be of cast steel, lipped to the
frames, as shown on Dig. No.2.4472/89, Regn.No.20 1/1,
fitted with turned bolts and the mute pimmed.
64. Drawgear & suffers. The couplings and drawg car details
are to be similar in design to those show on Dig. No.
2.4472/90 & 91, megn. No.451/ 1. The buffers ale to be
similar in design to those shown on Dig. No.44472/92,
Requ. No.25 1/1. The contro of the Dawgcal and buffers
is to be 3' 6" from the rail lovol which in loaded
condition, as on existing engines.
