In this particular case some
embarrassment was caused to the
British Representative on the League of
Nations Advisory Committee, since he had
not had the opportunity of seeing a copy
of the Report in question, and was there-
fore unable to make any statement as to
the authenticity, or otherwise, of the
extract from it which was circulated
by the League of Nations.
In any case, it
is very desirable that I should have early
information on any subject connected with
opium, and I shall be glad if in future a
copy of the Report of the Superintendent
of Imports and Exports could be sent to
available
me as soon as it is ready for públics.
4.
I shall be glad also if copies
of the more important of the other
Administration Reports could similarly
be sent as so on as they are ready, without
waiting till they are available in the
bound form,
& that every effort should be
made to prepare the compare band

volume as early as possible
