Southern Chinese regional governments over management
of this Office in Hong Kong cannot be tolerated any
longer, I propose to close down the Chinese Telegraph
Office and work with Canton by Wireless Telegraphy
only for the present. In that case messages would
pass between Hong Kong Government Wireless Station at
D'Aguilar and Canton Government Wireless Station at
Canton. During August wireless messages so exchanged
varied between 80 and 160 daily.
