It is understood that new final values for this point are now computed and it is requested that the new figures for both Geographical and Rectangular co-ordinates shall be submitted please.

Reference list A. (attached) of Trig. Points and their Co-ordinates the following observations also arise
(a) No value for the position of the Transit instrument at Kowloon Observatory is included. This gives rise to considerable doubt as to what value for Kowloon Observatory the co-ordinates of the points in attached list are in sympathy with.
As you are aware, the now accepted value for the Kowloon Transit instrument is
Lat. Long.
N. 22°18′13.20"
E.114 10 18.75
From certain check computations that have been made it would appear that the values in List A. are based on a value of Longitude for the Kowloon Instrument as follows:-
Long. 1140 10' 27.90".
Also it is thought that the Latitudes must be based on the following value for Latitude of the Kowloon Instrument
Lat. 22° 18' 12.10"
Will you please, therefore
state which value was used as a
basis for the computations?

(b) As a result of certain check computations it is thought that there are errors in the figures given for points 43 and 44, e.g. it is suggested that for point 43 the Lat. should read
