I have the honour to submit for the
signification of His Majesty's pleasure the following
Ordinance intituled:-
An Ordinance to declare and amend the law relating to
illegal strikes and lock-outs, to amend the law
relating to intimidation and to breaches of contracts
of service in certain special cases, to promote the
independence of trade unions established within the
Colony, and for purposes connected with the afore-
said purposes.
2.
The enclosed report by the Attorney General explains the reasons for this Ordinance. The Hansard report
of the second reading of the bill is enclosed.
3.
The bill was passed by the Legislative Council
with complete unanimity and has been welcomed by the Colony
as a useful measure for public protection.
