Shanghai Assassin's Confession.
Shanghai, March 31. Ten dollars a time is the price in Shanghai, of assassination according to evidence in a case just dealt with by the Provisional Court in which a Chinese was con- victed for the murder of a loyal forewoman of a British cotton mill.
Prisoner, who was sentenced to life imprisonment, confessed that he shot the woman at the instance of a prominent member of the General Labour Union who gave him $10 beforehand, promising him a further $10 on the return of the pistol with which he was furnished.-Reuter.
